Author Lloyd D. Smith, Lt. Col. Retired, combines his love of scouts and his military experiences in this collection of inspirational stories that can be shared with youth or just enjoyed. Lloyd D. Smith is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel of Artillery, who has served in many assignments around the world. His experiences were mostly with guided missiles and nuclear weapons. He began his association with Scouting in 1943 at the age of twelve years old and is an Eagle Scout. Lloyd has served in many scouting positions including Cubmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, Scoutmaster, Assistant District Commissioner, Eagle Coordinator, Grand Canyon Council Eagle Services, and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award. The author’s father was an avid scouter and was awarded the Eagle Scout badge, Silver Beaver Award and the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award. Scouting has been an important part of the Smith family for many years. In this collection of campfire stories, Lloyd shares his experience and wisdom that shaped his life and will help inspire many more.
